The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting is a committee affiliated with the Diocese of Orange serving the Orange County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The Committee is dedicated to promoting "Duty to God" at each level of Scouting. We are affiliated with the National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS), one of the national Relationship Committees of the Boy Scouts of America, and Region 11 of the NCCS

Duty to God

This square knot is worn by those whomhave earned a religious emblem or award as a youth member of the BSA.The awards are NOT BSA awards; they are awards presented by a churchbody for education, service and devotion to faith. The CatholicCommittee on Scouting promotes and recognizes youth earning theseawards for members of ALL faiths. The committee offers trainingopportunities and holds an annual recognition ceremony for Scouts ofall faiths.
